Sculpture or lighting? Like the other works in the "105" range, both!
This table-top luminaire, for desk, chest of drawers or bedside table, has an overall square shape, and the streaks of light seem to be the result of a giant having left a terrible mark. The back of the luminaire features architectural lines and a cubist style in harmony with the rest of the "105" range.
Our in-house formulation of a complex concrete material is individually molded by hand, then polished many times, to create a beautiful object that is both visually and tactilely pleasing.
Aspects common to the entire "105" range:
- the square base supporting the bulb is similar (this specific model has a rounded edge, making the base non-interchangeable with other models)
- the upper part around the bulb can be rotated at will, showing the preferred side, aligned with the base or not, to suit the mood or the moment, or to harmonize with the objects and other artwork around it.
- the base is also molded, polished and varnished, and closed by an engraved wooden piece covered with foam to prevent scratching the base
- as each piece is made by hand, small differences will appear, particularly on fine edges or inclusions. Each piece is unique
