Sculpture or lighting? Both!
This free-standing luminaire has an overall square shape with distributed cut-outs and intersections that the masters of cubism would not have denied. Each face of "105: Angular" has its own unique design, blending noble materials with direct and indirect passages for light.
Our in-house formulation of a complex concrete-type material is individually hand-molded, then polished many times, to offer a visual as well as a tactile experience.
Aspects common to the entire "105" range:
- the square base supporting the bulb is similar (this specific model has a rounded edge, making the base non-interchangeable with other models)
- the upper part around the bulb can be rotated at will, showing the preferred side, aligned with the base or not, to suit the mood or the moment, or to harmonize with the objects and other artwork around it.
- the base is also molded, polished and varnished, and closed by an engraved wooden piece covered with foam to prevent scratching the base
- as each piece is made by hand, small differences will appear, particularly on fine edges or inclusions. Each piece is unique
